Defence? Confidence? Perseverance?

J Hoyte – scores for the under 21’s….can we learn something from this! An early goal gave us the lead, is this the strategy we should follow? Go all out and try to net one in early and then take the defensive position.

As I maintained from early on, the aim of friendlies should ultimately be to test out new positions/strategies. I doubt McLaren will try anything new, it is probably best he builds confidence in the team.

So the 3-5-2 failed! Any one surprised, I aint! Let’s think about it for a second! Defensively we are not that great, and so it does not make sense to have 3 in the back, and in midfield, with problems already in terms of trying to juggle our players for position, it seems not a good idea to place more pressure on it! Thus, let’s just stick to 4-4-2 and be done with it. Let’s get ourselves together and show the Holland team that we are a side who just had bad luck and we are back to our winning streaks once again!
